Primary Logo (1972/73-1991/92)

What is the Pittsburgh Penguins Logo?

Worn for their first two Stanley Cup Championships, this Pittsburgh Penguins logo featured a black and white penguin wearing skates and gloves holding a hockey stick placed on a yellow and black triangle to represent the Pittsburgh Golden Triangle area. The Penguins dropped this logo after winning their second straight Stanley Cup in 1992 but brought it back less than a decade later
